A rare large antique Federal metalwork arched firescreen, circa 1800.

This impressive antique Federal firescreen has an attractive arched design and is big enough to accommodate the largest hearths both indoors and out. The screen is constructed with vertical bars held in place with horizontal ribs. The firescreen is decorated with two applied panels of repeating scroll work. There is also a pair of delicate original bail form brass handles. The antique firescreen is in remarkable condition for a piece that is over two hundred years old.
